Owensboro, Kentucky, sits in the crook of the bend of the Ohio River, which led 18th-century settlers to originally call it “Yellowbanks,” for the yellow sands located along the river. New Haven

Yale University helps to give New Haven the moniker, “Cultural Capital of Connecticut.” Residents can enjoy many museums, art galleries, theaters, and music venues of all genres, both on and off campus.
