Considered a port city, Cleveland is located in northeastern Ohio, along the southern shore of Lake Erie, at the mouth of the Cuyahoga River. Lake Erie moderates the climate in the region and generally keeps the city cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, while sometimes generating heavy “lake-effect” snow. Warm summers offer plenty of opportunity to spend time on the beaches or the lake, as well as biking or hiking. Winter activities include ice-skating, sledding, and riding toboggan chutes.

Eau Claire

Eau Claire offers a friendly, Midwestern small-town feel with big-city vibes. The winters may be cold, but that doesn’t stop outdoor enthusiasts who love ice fishing and other winter sports. Rocky Mount

Franklin County, Virginia, is situated in the western piedmont, providing a nice variety of both flatlands on the east and the Blue Ridge Mountain peaks on the west. The county is nestled between two lakes, Philpott and Smith Mountain, giving the area its moniker of the “Land Between the Lakes and the Blue Ridge Mountains.” 

Hot summer weather provides ample opportunity to hike, bike, golf, boat, swim, waterski, float on the river, and enjoy the outdoors. The Blue Ridge Parkway, which runs along the western edge of the county, delights motorists and motorcycle enthusiasts.

The16-school Franklin County Public School District ranks above the state average in both math and reading proficiency, as well as among the top 30 percent of public schools in the state. The matriculation rate for graduating seniors in Franklin County is 89 percent.
 
Nearly every type of architecture can be found in homes in Franklin County, Virginia, from historic Queen Anne and traditional farmhouses to log cabins and modern-built houses. Gallatin

Located less than 30 miles from Nashville in Middle Tennessee, Gallatin serves as a suburb in the greater metropolitan area. Situated on 1,200 acres, fish Claremore Lake, or bike the 15-mile Claremore Mountain Bike Trail located along the lake’s east bank. Check out Will Rogers Park and cool off at the seasonal splash pad. Place a bet on your favorite horse at Will Rogers Downs or try your luck at the Cherokee Casino. 

Just 20 minutes away, the Tulsa International Airport offers direct flights to several popular destinations, including Miami, Washington, D.C., Nashville, and Chicago.
