Richland

Located deep in the heart of the Columbia Valley, and at the junction of the scenic Columbia and Yakima Rivers, the City of Richland, Washington, joins neighboring cities Pasco and Kennewick to form the Tri-Cities area of Washington state. The region is widely known for growing high-quality produce, an abundance of fresh salmon that spawn in local rivers, and as a hub for Pacific Northwest wineries, including the widely popular Barnard Griffin and Goose Ridge wineries. Carlsbad

Carlsbad is the epitome of a well-rounded community. With a population of 32,238, it offers all of the amenities you need along with the outdoor recreation you want – and year-round at that! Located in the Appalachian Mountains and at the convergence of the Elk and Kanawha Rivers, Charleston is West Virginia’s most populous city, with the greater Charleston metro area surpassing 200,000 residents. Home to the University of Charleston and nearby West Virginia State University, Charleston combines the buzz of a lively college town with rich local history and culture. Britt

Located in north-central Iowa, the city of Britt prides itself as a tight-knit community with a knack for hospitality and fellowship. Once a meager stop on the Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul rail lines, Britt officially became a city in 1881. Today, more than 2,000 residents call Britt home. Key attractions include the Hancock County Agricultural Museum, an extensive collection of restored farm machinery and tools dating back to the 1840s; the Armstrong House—a massive Victorian house built for a Norwegian immigrant who settled in Britt; the Britt Draft Horse Show, which features top-rated Belgian, Percheron, Clydesdale, and Shire performance horses; and the National Hobo Museum, which showcases personal collections of famous American hobos, including Steam Train Maury, the Pennsylvania Kid, Connecticut Slim, the Hard Rock Kid, Frisco Jack, and others. Chickasha

Chickasha is located 42 miles southwest of Oklahoma City. Don’t miss annual community traditions, including the Wings & Wheels Fly-In and Car Show, held at the Chickasha Municipal Airport every Father’s Day weekend. Each fall, the Rock Island Arts Festival offers a variety of cultural entertainment, including art demonstrations, beer and wine tastings, and musical performances. Check out the Chickasha Festival of Lights, which takes place during the holiday season on 43 acres of Shannon Springs Park. Just 37 miles away, the Will Rogers World Airport offers direct flights to many destinations including Atlanta, Chicago, Orlando, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Seattle.

Brentwood

Known largely as an agricultural community just 55 miles east of San Francisco until the late 20th century, Brentwood, California, has become a bustling residential city experiencing rapid growth. Fortunately for produce lovers, the farming traditions have carried over, and the region is still known for its abundance of corn and stone fruits like peaches and cherries. And did we mention the wine? Nearby award-winning wineries like Bloomfield, Tamayo, and Hannah Nicole have become a staple of the area. Bluefield

Nestled along the Ridge and Valley Region of the Appalachian Mountains, Bluefield offers endless possibilities for outdoor recreation and exploration. Located more than 2,600 feet above sea level, Bluefield boasts unusually cool summer temperatures and proudly refers to itself as “Nature’s Air-Conditioned City.” This moderate climate provides the perfect backdrop to enjoy the annual Lemonade Festival, experience live music at the Bluefield Blues Festival, and catch a Bluefield Blue Jays game at Bowen Field. Billings

Billings, Montana truly offers a little something for everyone. As Montana’s largest city, with the greater metro-area population surpassing 180,000 people, Billings combines the rich cultures of the Yellowstone Valley with the vibe of a lively college town. The Billings area offers hundreds of acres of city parks, as well as 47 miles of dedicated walking and biking trails surrounding the city. The popular Lake Elmo State Park features a 64-acre reservoir and fishing pier, as well as a 200-square-foot fenced-in dog park. History enthusiasts will love Pictograph Caves State Park, a National Historic Landmark site located just five minutes from downtown Billings featuring caves with 2,000-year-old cave paintings, pictographs, and other artifacts. Broken Arrow

Ebensburg

Cambria County, Pennsylvania, is home to the metropolitan community of Johnstown along with several boroughs including Westmont, Northern Cambria, Elim, and Belmont, to name a few.

Bloomfield

Great things come in small towns! Davis County is home to the most involved and supportive community in the Midwest: Bloomfield, Iowa. Bloomfield is home to many sights, sounds and experiences that you simply can’t find anywhere else. Davis County is home to the most Amish families in the state of Iowa, and two large Amish stores, T-Corner Woodworking and Yoder Kountry Korner, offer a wide selection of Amish-made, hardwood furniture, quilts, crafts and other items. Want to get outdoors? Bag a 6-point buck (home to one of the largest in the USA), relax by the water with your family, enjoy a relaxing get-away at one of the local hotels or campgrounds, discover the county fair and festivals, relish our delicious food places and remember how life ought to be.

Meet the Amish of Davis County!

Davis County is home to the most Amish families in the state of Iowa. The Amish community in Davis County is located west of Bloomfield in the Drakesville and West Grove communities. The community consists of well-kept farms and thriving businesses.

Currently there are about 1,400 Old Order Amish living in Davis County. The first Amish family purchased farmland south of Drakesville in Davis County in 1971 after scouting around numerous communities for several years. Lower farmland prices and people who seemed friendly and accepting were draws to Davis County. Other reasons also led the Amish to choose Davis County. A quality hospital within driving distance with horse and buggy was essential. At that time Bloomfield also offered bus service and there were horse sales at the local sale barn.

Today, there about 300 Amish families in the county. By the fall of 2019, seventeen schools were educating about 400 children in grades one through eight. In 1972, after years of struggle, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in the case of Wisconsin vs Yoder that the Amish had the right to educate their children according to their religious beliefs without interference from the government.

The first Amish families that moved to the county made their living by farming, but they soon realized the soil in much of Davis County was not as fertile as the soil they had cultivated in other parts of the country. Gradually, family members began creating businesses especially where they saw a niche that was compatible with their craftsman skills and way of life. Today only about a dozen families make their living entirely by farming. There are over 90 businesses listed on the Amish Business Map that can be downloaded from the website or can be obtained at the Davis County Welcome Center on North Highway 63 in Bloomfield.

Benton Harbor is an eclectic and diverse city originally founded as Brunson Harbor. The city was renamed Benton Harbor in 1965 for Thomas Hart Benton, a Missouri senator who helped Michigan achieve statehood. The summers are warm, which gives outdoor enthusiasts plenty of opportunity to enjoy boating, kayaking, hiking, and biking at one of the many parks, such as Sarett Nature Center, Jean Klock Park or Rocky Gap County Park. Golfers can tee off at Berrien Hills Golf Club or Lake Michigan Hills Golf Club. Walk across the Richland-Plummer Creek Covered Bridge, built in 1883 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Called one of the best small-town festivals in southern Indiana, check out Bloomfield’s annual Apple Festival and Parade. Held the first weekend in October, festival activities include carnival rides, food, and craft booths, live music, a wiffle-ball tournament, pedal-tractor pulls, a pet show, a quilt auction, art exhibits, and corn hole tournaments. 
Take a train ride over Richland Creek and enjoy picturesque views as you cross Tulip Trestle Viaduct Train Bridge, constructed in the 20th century by the Indiana Southern Railway.

Birmingham

Founded in 1871, during the post-Civil War Reconstruction period, Birmingham has grown into Alabama’s second most populous city.
