Albuquerque

Albuquerque boasts a rich Native American and Hispanic history, and today serves as a major hub of modern technology, giving the city a unique blend of past and present. Residents can explore shopping centers in Nob Hill, discover historic Old Town Albuquerque, enjoy local flavor at one of the many neighborhood restaurants, and visit Albuquerque’s top bars and casinos for late-night entertainment. The city is also home to more than 29,000 acres of park land, including city pools and splash pads, golf courses, sports facilities, and nearly 300 city parks. Sports fans have plenty of options, including the University of New Mexico Lobos, the Albuquerque Isotopes baseball team, the Albuquerque Sol soccer league, and more. Carlsbad

Carlsbad is the epitome of a well-rounded community. With a population of 32,238, it offers all of the amenities you need along with the outdoor recreation you want – and year-round at that! Lovington

Located in Southeastern New Mexico, Lea County encompasses the communities of Buckeye, Caprock, Eunice, Hobbs, Humble City, Jal, Knowles, Lovington, McDonald, Maljamar, Monument, Oil Center, and Tatum. A leader in the natural gas, oil, agriculture, and dairy industries, Lea County offers a relaxed, family friendly environment. Play 18 holes of golf at Rockwind Community Links, which co-hosts a large Pan-Am tournament each year. For a rootin’ tootin’ good time, tour the Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame and discover six permanent exhibits highlighting the area’s rodeo and ranching heritage. In Hobbs, visit the Soaring Society of America and encounter the thrilling world of sailplanes. At Lea County Center for the Arts, enroll the kids in after-school art classes, view rotating art exhibits, or attend a paint-and-sip art party. Stretch your legs at Harry McAdams State Park or plan a trip to the annual Lea County Fair and Rodeo, which showcases livestock competitions, a fiddler’s contest, extreme bull riding, carnival rides, and a concert series. Drop a fishing line in at Chaparral Park, a 20-acre lake in Lovington with 80 acres of parkland to explore. Just over an hour Southwest, explore more than 100 caves at Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Located in the Chihuahuan Desert, this unique national park provides both above-ground and below-ground adventure. Back in Hobbs, the Lea County Regional Airport provides flights to several destinations, including Houston and Denver.

El Paso

Located on the Rio Grande River in the westernmost point of West Texas, El Paso is known for its rich and vibrant culture. With annual celebrations like the El Paso Film Festival, the Neon Desert Music Festival, and the Billy the Kid Festival, residents find plenty of ways to celebrate the city’s food, arts, and Wild West history. Visit the only Border Patrol Museum in the country, taste local, authentic Tex Mex cuisine, travel the historic Mission Trail, or shop for the perfect pair of boots in the Boot Capital of the World. Deming

Drive west from Las Cruces along the northern border of Mexico and you’ll find Deming, New Mexico, a community warm with history, activity and sunshine. Deming is the county seat of Luna County, which is part of the area obtained from Mexico by the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1846. Since then, Deming has become a thriving business and agricultural community. The Florida Mountains provide not only a beautiful backdrop for the town, but serve as the perfect gateway for ​​a variety of outdoor activities including rock hounding, camping and hiking. In fact, the annual three-day Rockhound Roundup brings aficionados from around the world to participate. For museum lovers, Mimbres Museum and Custom House share the story of early Western history and culture. Local eateries like Adobe Deli and Ranchers Grill offer a taste of Southwest cuisine while the Deming Arts Center provides regular rotating exhibits. With breathtaking scenery, a rich history, and endless activities for the family to enjoy, Deming is a hidden gem of the Southwest.

Las Vegas

Pueblo

For “small town vibes under big open skies”, the vibrant community of Pueblo, Colorado is ideally located at the confluence of the Arkansas River and Fountain Creek and is just over 100 miles south of Denver. Referred to as “Steel City”, Pueblo is one of the largest steel producing cities in the United States. Pueblo’s mild weather (300 days of sunshine annually!) allows for numerous outdoor adventures such as golfing at its well-maintained and challenging golf courses, or bird watching, camping, boating, and other water sports at scenic Lake Pueblo State Park. The beautiful mile-long Arkansas Riverwalk, with access to the city’s downtown, offers activities for all ages.
