From the BIG APPLE to BIG Texas
Moving from New York with my children was an adventurous move for me. You see, New York City was all of the things I was familiar with; my daily routine; the people who were in my everyday life; the chaos of the New York City life - we loved living that way. Yet there was some inner desire for an opportunity to create a more stable future for me and my family.
The physical packing of our life and family to physically move was very much a journey of many unknowns; there were many days of uncertainty and many adjustments to a whole new way of life; packing up and starting over was very difficult for me. As a parent, the decisions I made were to provide my kids with a better future- larger living spaces to grow in, new life experiences and a successful life.
This experience of transition has taught me much about being more resilient. I became more aware of how to adapt to new environments; I learned to run businesses in new settings and developed new support networks, as well as maintaining the solid foundation that my children depend on. I continually remind myself of the original reasons I made this move to ensure the best future for my children. I feel so blessed when I look at everything the family and I have accomplished.
