I relocated to Terre Haute from Dallas, Texas, about a year ago, and it has been an enriching experience so far. Coming from a bustling city, the transition to this charming small town has been nothing short of delightful. Not to mention the savings have helped me travel more in the past year than at any other time in my life. 

Terre Haute's tight-knit community has been one of the highlights of my stay. There's something special about knowing your neighbors and seeing familiar faces wherever you go. The warmth and friendliness of the people here have made me feel right at home.

As a basketball enthusiast, I've thoroughly enjoyed attending ISU games over the past year. The local basketball culture adds a unique charm to the town, and cheering for the home team alongside fellow fans has been an exhilarating experience.

One piece of advice I'd offer to anyone considering moving here is to opt for rental properties managed by local landlords. In my experience, the best living situations have come from renting directly from individuals invested in the community. Their personalized approach and attentiveness have made all the difference in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Overall, my experience with settling into Terre Haute has been overwhelmingly positive, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others looking for a welcoming community and a taste of small-town living.

Loving my move! 

I relocated from southern Mississippi to Terre Haute in the summer of 2023, and I've absolutely loved it here! Living downtown means I can walk to coffee shops, restaurants, a coworking space, the library, museums, and concerts.

There are so many amenities just outside the city. One hour to Indianapolis, the airport, and several state parks with great hiking trails. Within three hours, you can be in a number of major cities (Chicago, St. Louis, Cincinnati, or Louisville). 

I've been here around 9 months now, and it really feels like home! The MakeMyMove team was so helpful with the whole process, I would recommend it to anyone looking to relocate and try something new!
