Located at the exact geographic center of Georgia, Macon is a city defined by its foundational role in American music and its rich architectural history. Built along the Ocmulgee River, the city balances its deep historical roots—from the ancient earthworks of the Ocmulgee Mounds to the recording studios that birthed Southern rock and soul—with active neighborhood revitalization and a robust healthcare and education-driven economy.
