It borders both the City of Alexandria and Arlington County and forms part of the suburban ring of Washington, D.C. Fairfax was the first U.S. county to reach a six-figure median household income. Due to its proximity to the nation’s capitol, many goverment organizations are located here such as the Central Intelligence Agency, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, National Reconnaissance Office, as well as several Fortune 500 companies. While primarily suburban in character, the county is also home to rural areas, offering a plethora of options for activities – from parks to ample landmarks (Mount Vernon), shopping, dining, cultural experiences and much more. The beautiful Fairfax County lies in the Piedmont region, which boasts rolling hills and deep stream valleys such as Difficult Run and its tributaries. As you move westward, the hills give way to a flat, gentle valley which stretches to the Bull Run Mountains in neighboring Loudoun County. And if you get the itch for the city or need to commute for a meeting, no problem – Alexandria, Arlington, and D.C. are just minutes away. 

I currently work remotely for Brookdale Senior Living in Tennessee as a Senior Living Advisor. I reside in Brentwood, TN and would like to move to Fairfax County, VA to be closer to the few family members I have left.
