Gwinnett County Public Schools (Georgia) is offering a new teacher signing bonus up to $6,000. Located northeast of Atlanta, the district serves nearly 180,000 children across 139 schools. In order to be eligible for signing incentives, candidates must: - Be a new full-time teacher hired to GCPS for the 2023-24 school year; OR - Be a full-time teacher hired for the 2023-24 school year and taught in GCPS prior to the 2020-21 school year. - Complete the 2023-24 school year AND - Sign a contract for the 2024-25 school year - Incentive amounts will be determined based on the employee's start date. Two GCPS elementary schools have been named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Secretary of Education for the 2023-24 school year. Nationally recognized for its music education program, Gwinnett County Public Schools has also received state and national awards for recruitment and retention, counseling, transportation safety and communications. Forbes’ named GCPS one of the country's ‘Top Employers for Women’.
