Waterfalls near Texarkana: Day Trips.

One of the great things about living in Texarkana is how many waterfalls there are to experience within a two to two and a half hour drive. They make a great day trip adventure! A great one to visit in the spring (but really all year round) is Little Missouri Falls in the Albert Pike Recreation Area, of the Ouachita National Forest. It's a stunning, series of cascading falls. There's also a beautiful, CCC era construction, overlook with sweeping views of the whole area. It's a short hike to get to the falls and it's worth it!
