While many cities have a "token" bike path, the Cardinal Greenway is a 62-mile spine that serves as a primary social and physical connector for the region. In many Midwestern cities, you move between "islands" in your car. In Muncie, life happens on the trail. It’s where you’ll see the CEO of the hospital biking next to a college student. It connects the major neighborhoods to the university, the downtown "DORA" (outdoor refreshment area), and the rural landscape. For a newcomer, "the Greenway" is the quickest way to find your bearings and see the city’s natural beauty and its people all at once.
