New Thunderbird Road Intersection Now Open

The City of Lawrence is pleased to share that the newly improved intersection at Thunderbird Road and Pendleton Pike is now open to traffic. This project, led by the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), is part of a broader effort to enhance safety and connectivity along Pendleton Pike (also designated as U.S. 36 and State Road 67) in Marion County. Improvements at this intersection include the installation of a new traffic signal and the construction of a connector road south of the intersection. These upgrades are designed to improve traffic flow and provide safer, more convenient access to nearby businesses.We thank INDOT for their continued investment in infrastructure that supports growth and accessibility in Lawrence.
