Ruston

Ruston Main Street is the economic engine and core of our community.  It is where residents and visitors alike come together for fun and fellowship.  It is the thriving core of our community with unique shopping, great restaurants, and beautifully restored buildings.  Downtown Ruston, and specifically Railroad Park, is host to a number of activities and events.  

Ruston Main Street is home to an active group of business owners who are engaged with the community.  They hold monthly Downtown Community meetings to discuss the continued development of Downtown Ruston.

Rated as one of the best mountain bike trails in America, Lincoln Parish Park is a treasure for mountain bike lovers and noncyclist too. The 10-mile trail offers a challenging and exciting course for not only the advanced rider but beginners as well.

Park amenities include covered pavilions, picnic tables, and benches throughout the park. A 1.25-mile walking path winds around the beautiful lake. Guests can fish from piers or from non-motorized boats. Kayaks and canoes are welcome.

Lancaster

Nestled in northern Texas, Lancaster is located about 16 miles south of Dallas. 

Called the “Shining Star of Texas,” Lancaster was settled in 1852 as a frontier town. Today, it’s historic charm and small-town atmosphere create an ideal environment for working professionals. Acclimate yourself at the Visitor’s Center and State Auxiliary Museum, once home to the Texas Interurban Railway. Tour the City of Lancaster Museums, including the Cold War Air Museum, Commemorative Air Force Museum, Texas State Auxiliary Museum, and J.D. Hall Museum. 

Hike, bike, play croquet, or picnic at Lancaster’s public parks, which span more than 600 acres. Cool off at the Lancaster Aquatics Center, enjoying water aerobics classes, a zero-depth entry pool, a lazy river, and a two-story waterslide. Take a line-dancing class at the Lancaster Recreation Center before enjoying a meal at Casserole Soul Café, a minority-owned restaurant recently featured in DMagazine. 

Other attractions within 20 minutes of Lancaster include the Dallas Zoo, Dallas Aquarium, Texas Discovery Gardens, and the Trinity Forest Golf Club, home of the Byron Nelson Tournament. Just 30 minutes away, the Dallas Love Field Airport offers direct flights to many popular destinations.

New Castle

All it takes is a stroll down the cobblestone streets of New Castle, Delaware’s downtown historic district to step back in time. 

The charm and beauty of this riverfront community has only grown since its founding in 1651, making it a perfect town to live and work in. The historic nature of New Castle’s buildings and homes means that picturesque individuality is around every corner. 

Looking for a bite? Try the shepherd's pie at Jessop's Tavern or the Andouille meatloaf at Nora Lee's French Quarter Bistro. The Bookshop in Old New Castle is rich with history and is a must-see for bibliophiles. Explore the Old Court House Museum, which preserves the location where Delaware voted to break away from Pennsylvania, on June 15, 1776. Then breathe in the beauty of Battery Park, which offers walking, hiking, and biking trails along the Delaware River.
