West Memphis was alive with celebration and music this past weekend as two major events brought crowds, culture, and entertainment to the city. From honoring African American heritage to dancing under the stars, Saturday, June 21st, was one to remember.

🎉 Juneteenth Celebration at Hightower Park Amphitheater

The City of West Memphis hosted a meaningful Juneteenth Celebration at Hightower Park Amphitheater, honoring the end of slavery and celebrating Black culture, freedom, and unity.

A highlight of the event was a special guest appearance by actress Vivica A. Fox, who connected with the crowd and brought a touch of Hollywood to the celebration. Attendees enjoyed live performances, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and a strong sense of community.

🎶 Reggae Fest at Southland Casino – Featuring The Legendary Wailers

Later that day, Southland Casino Hotel hosted its vibrant Reggae Fest, headlined by The Legendary Wailers with Junior Marvin. The festival drew music lovers from across the region to enjoy classic reggae sounds, delicious food, and tropical vibes.

The crowd danced into the evening as the iconic band delivered a powerful performance that paid tribute to the timeless music of Bob Marley.
