"When our family made the decision to move, it wasn’t just about a new opportunity—it was about finding a place that aligned with our values, our faith, and the kind of life we wanted to build together.
That decision led us to leave Washington and make a cross-country move to Vincennes—a step that required faith, trust, and a willingness to embrace the unknown.
From the moment we arrived, we felt something different. There’s a genuine spirit of community here—people who care, who show up, and who make you feel like you belong. It didn’t take long for us to realize this wasn’t just a place we moved to—it was a place we were meant to be.
Our faith has always been central to how we live and lead as a family, and that’s been reinforced in ways we didn’t fully expect. There’s a strong sense of purpose in this community—one that values relationships, service, and investing in others. That has made the transition not just comfortable, but deeply meaningful.
Professionally, being part of Vincennes University Athletics has only strengthened that feeling.
There’s a shared commitment to developing young people—not just as athletes, but as leaders and individuals of character. That mission aligns directly with what we believe in as a family, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to be part of something bigger than ourselves.
For our kids, Vincennes has been everything we hoped for and more. There’s a strong sense of support around youth—through schools, activities, and everyday interactions. They’re known by name, encouraged by teachers and mentors, and surrounded by people who genuinely care.
It’s the kind of place where they’re not just another face in the crowd—they’re seen, supported, and given the opportunity to grow. As parents, there’s a real peace of mind knowing they’re being raised in a community that reinforces the values we’re teaching at home.
For my wife, one of the greatest blessings has been the relationships she’s built. Moving across the country comes with its challenges, but she has found a strong network of friends and support here. That sense of connection has made Vincennes feel like home in a very real and lasting way.
What we’ve found in Vincennes is more than a new location—it’s a community that allows you to slow down, focus on what matters most, and live with purpose.
Looking back, this wasn’t just a move—it was a calling. And it’s one we’re grateful we answered."
