Absolutely worth it.

I was a bit skeptical moving to a new place out of the blue. It's easier to remain in the familiar. Moving takes a re-evaluation of employment, relationships, living conditions, and legalities, among others.

Noblesville had one of the best relocation packages, and I was able to accept - and so I did. I've enjoyed every step of the way and even more so now that I'm here.

I'm a remote worker but I like to stay active and network with others when I can. Noblesville meets all my criteria and more. The freedom of remote work lets me explore even nearby Indianapolis and get the best of both urban and rural life.

In the same day, I'm able to be remotely productive at work, explore the next best (and unknown) coffee shop, bike/run as many miles as I wish (the Noblesville/Fishers area has a quite extensive trail system), and participate in a local event of my choice, just to name a few.

Impressive.

I can honestly say that I absolutely love living in Noblesville. One of the first things I noticed was the people—everywhere we go, people are genuinely so nice and welcoming. Life here just feels like it moves at a slower, more enjoyable pace, and even something as simple as having less traffic has been such a nice change.

Since moving here, I’ve joined a gym and made new friends, and our family has found a church and a community that we absolutely love. It really feels like we’re starting to put down roots here.

One of my favorite things has been all the walking trails near our house. Where we lived before, it was so hot that I rarely wanted to spend time exploring outside. Here, I actually look forward to getting outside, walking the trails, and enjoying the weather. And there are golf courses everywhere, which we absolutely love! Then every once in a while, you look up and see hot air balloons floating across the sky. Between the beautiful weather, the green spaces, the golf courses, and hot air balloons overhead, sometimes it genuinely feels picture-perfect.

I’m especially excited for fall and getting to watch the trees change and see all the beautiful fall colors. It’s something I’ve been looking forward to since we moved!

My daughter and I have also fallen in love with the Noblesville markets. Whenever there’s one happening, we try to go. We love spending time in downtown Noblesville, walking through the little shops, trying the restaurants, and just enjoying the atmosphere—even with all the construction!

And I have to give a special shoutout to The Pretender in downtown Noblesville. It is such a cute concept, and the food is amazing. It has quickly become one of our favorite spots.

I tell my husband all the time that I don’t think I’ll ever want to leave. Noblesville has given us that sense of community and home that we were hoping to find, and I’m so happy we ended up here.

It had been nearly 20 years since I had lived in the Midwest. Having grown up in Texas, where it feels like perpetual summer, experiencing all four seasons was always something I looked forward to. When I discovered the MakeMyMove program, I was excited by the opportunity to relocate to an area I desired while also being closer to my grandchildren.

Now that I am at the end of my experience with the program, would I make the same decision again? Absolutely.

There were a few hiccups along the way, but they were related more to personnel changes than to the program itself. Overall, the process was smooth and well organized.

I would encourage anyone considering the program to take full advantage of the information provided about prospective communities. We chose Noblesville and quickly learned that the program gave us an incredibly accurate picture of the area, about 95% of what we experienced firsthand. The only thing missing was information about some of the newest updates to the scenic and recreational areas.

One of the program's perks was receiving gift cards to use locally. Ours were primarily for restaurants, and we joked that we ate our way through Noblesville. While we appreciated that opportunity, it would have been nice to receive a few gift cards for local shops, attractions, and community events as well.

We are currently in the process of purchasing a home in the Danville area. However, if our family had not relocated, we would have happily settled in Noblesville because it offered everything we were looking for in a community. We were even able to continue our work with foster children.

If you're considering making a move, take the leap. It's absolutely worth it.

Whenever I'm in downtown Noblesville I drop by Noble Coffee & Tea Company. The drinks are fantastic, the space is comfortable, and there's a TON of seating if you want to get some work done or just hang out for a while.

This afternoon we ate at Grindstone Public House and I ordered the Wagyu Cheeseburger! The patty is a formed by hand generous portion of Halperns’ signature wagyu ground beef patty..so juicy, crowned with nueske’s thick slab bacon, runny fried egg and shmear of dijonnaise on a bun soft but sturdy- the combination of tastes and textures where out of this world! ...oh yeah and the sweet potato fries were just as good!
