2 Months In

2 months in, and I'm getting more plugged into Noblesville by the minute.

I came to Noblesville from a small town in Illinois. Noblesville contains infinitely more things to do than what I used to have, and I'm a bit spoiled to have more than one place to shop for groceries. This is a great city if you're wanting either the perks of a small town or the adventures of a city, since it's so close to Indianapolis.

I'm loving how many activities there are in the area. There's a surplus of churches, which helped me to find other like-minded individuals and get plugged into a weekly group with people my age. The first picture above shows a couple I met after moving to Noblesville - they are new Indiana residents as well. We've enjoyed exploring the new area together, but only I get to reap the benefits of MakeMyMove 😉

For housing recommendations, things can be a bit pricy, so I recommend a detailed exploration. Make sure to use the boundaries of MakeMyMove to your advantage - it's quite a wide radius. I live in a fairly expensive rental unit, so I can't speak much to this, but use my missed opportunity to your advantage. There are some nice apartments near the downtown square with closed parking, if you're wanting to be in the thick of a new place, like me.

Absolutely, without a doubt, visit the trails. I'm an avid runner, and have been training for the next marathon - Nickel Plate trail goes on for MILES and is beautiful throughout. Whether you're biking, running, or even skating - it's a joy to explore. It also crosses into Fishers pretty quick. You can find a trail entrance close to you wherever you are in the city.

I've also been able to find weekly pick up basketball. I go to Westfield on Monday nights, and Indianapolis on Wednesday mornings. Noblesville is so close to many places, the fact some things are in different locations isn't an issue.

Now, for the rest of my pictures. The second picture is at Starbucks on Red Cup Day. This happens once a year, and the town I moved from would never have dreamed of having a Starbucks. This is one of the perks not mentioned from MakeMyMove, but is ready when you arrive...

The third picture is from an escape room. Once again, there's a HUGE amount of things to do both in and near Noblesville. If you're bored, well...

The last picture is from my friend and I the day before the Indianapolis marathon. Because Noblesville is so close to the city, I had friends come and stay with me to run the marathon together.

None of these things would have been as possible or as joyful without MakeMyMove. If you're debating whether to make the move... hear it from me: it's worth it. With MakeMyMove, it's that much more rewarding.

From Cautious to ALL IN

Absolutely worth it.

I was a bit skeptical moving to a new place out of the blue. It's easier to remain in the familiar. Moving takes a re-evaluation of employment, relationships, living conditions, and legalities, among others.

Noblesville had one of the best relocation packages, and I was able to accept - and so I did. I've enjoyed every step of the way and even more so now that I'm here.

I'm a remote worker but I like to stay active and network with others when I can. Noblesville meets all my criteria and more. The freedom of remote work lets me explore even nearby Indianapolis and get the best of both urban and rural life.

In the same day, I'm able to be remotely productive at work, explore the next best (and unknown) coffee shop, bike/run as many miles as I wish (the Noblesville/Fishers area has a quite extensive trail system), and participate in a local event of my choice, just to name a few.

Impressive.

None of this would have been possible without MakeMyMove partnering with the Noblesville community and opening the door. MakeMyMove makes relocating easier - and more fun, frankly, with the opportunities their perks give you in the area you're moving to.

I can't tell you how many conversations I've already had with people simply because I'm a part of the MakeMyMove program. A bit of a leg up compared to traditional movers.

If you're on the fence, and leaning even the slightest bit towards making the move, I highly recommend it. You're getting paid, after all.

p.s.

The pictures come from just a few of my visits in and around Noblesville: Yafa Golden Coffee (fantastic Yemeni items) with Muhammad, biking/running views, and a street dedication featuring the mayor of Noblesville.

Wonderful Opportunity!

My wife and I moved from Flagstaff, Arizona to Noblesville, Indiana on August 1, 2025. We packed and drove a 15’ UHaul box truck pulling our car on a trailer over 1,600 miles across the country to get to Noblesville. Although we were a bit apprehensive to do this transport ourselves, it turned out to be a quite smooth process.

I was accepted in to the local MakeMyMove program and couldn’t be happier with this experience and opportunity. We are loving Noblesville, mostly because our grandchildren are here, but the community as whole has so much to offer. From free concerts, farmers markets, Ruoff Amphitheater and countless other events, this town is vibrant and growing rapidly. In just two weeks of being here, we have been to four concerts and have ate at several delicious Noblesville restaurants.

Housing in Noblesville can be costly, but many options exist and are currently being developed. There are so many nice communities to live in this town and we are very thankful to have found a nice community to rent a home in South Harbour.

Although we are going to miss the mountains of Flagstaff, we have quickly realized that Noblesville is going to be a wonderful new home. Thank you to the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce and the MakeMyMove program for giving my wife and I this wonderful opportunity to experience much of which this community has to offer!
