Embrace the holiday season by driving through a special route of magnificent and colorful light displays in Frankfort! Come see the thousands of holiday lights and festive displays in this complimentary drive-through route at the Distillery.  Enjoy over 100,000 lights in various displays such as Santa, elves, reindeers, and of course, buffalos!  The drive through lights are complimentary and are open nightly November 30 to December 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  


Buffalo Trace Distillery is located at 113 Great Buffalo Trace, in Frankfort, Ky. Visitors should enter at the main Distillery entrance next to the “Come See the Lights” display.  All events are complimentary.  The Distillery’s Gift Shop, located inside the Visitor Center, will be open during the Lighting of the Trace on November 30 and during Santa's visit to the Buffalo Trace Distillery Clubhouse on December 6 from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. The gift shop features a variety of holiday and bourbon themed merchandise for gift giving. Online shopping is also available at 



Admission to Holiday Lights is complimentary to attend and open to the public.

Saturday, September 23 is Frankfort Day at the Kentucky State University (KSU) Football Game. The City of Frankfort provided popsicles to attendees of the Frankfort Day pre-game tailgate at Alumni Stadium. The Kiwanis Club provided hotdogs and other community organizations joined the fun. Kiwanis is a long-time supporter of Kentucky State University and its students. KSU has an active student chapter of Circle K [International]. Mayor Wilkerson flipped the coin to start game play. Kentucky State University is one of the oldest historically, black colleges and universities in the United States and is a Public Land Grant Institution.
