Community in The Evansville Region, Indiana

Evansville is beautiful. It took about 10 days for us to receive our Initial payment from the City, but it was not a difficult process. The folks here have been welcoming and just good hearted! I've met all my neighbors and we all watch out for each other. Everything else is largely within 20 minutes of home.

The housing market is pretty good, but make sure you're paying what's comparable to other homes.

If you love the outdoors, we're only about an hour and a half from the Garden of the Gods in Illinois, and the Marengo Falls, both of which are stunning enough to bring tears to your eyes.

We're saving over $1000 just on rent by moving here from Florida. Days are nice and nights are perfect. This was one of the best decisions we've ever made!

My husband and I dreamed of building a home filled with love, laughter, music, and great food. We started our journey in Austin, Texas, and even with two well-paying jobs, we were struggling financially. Once you arrive, don’t be shy! Join apps like Nextdoor or local Facebook groups to connect with people who share your interests. Making friends as an adult can be challenging, but with a little effort, you’ll find your community—and maybe even some new best friends.
