The City of Newark, Delaware is providing a signing bonus for new police officers up to $20,000. Candidates with no prior police service qualify for a $10,000 hiring bonus, while prior sworn police officers are eligible for a $20,000 hiring bonus.

The city's website says there are no residency restrictions for Newark police officers and that all police officers are expected to be provided with a take home vehicle by 2024.
