Curwood Castle

Built in 1922 by author James Oliver Curwood, this replica of a Norman chateau sits directly on the banks of the Shiawassee River. The castle originally served as his private writing studio and now operates as a public museum. It stands as a striking piece of local architecture and a focal point for the annual Curwood Festival.
