Vortex Global is a Salina-based manufacturer serving a specialized corner of industrial production: the movement and control of dry bulk materials. Since 1977, the company has engineered and manufactured slide gates, diverters and iris valves used in industries such as food, chemicals, minerals, mining and power generation. Its affiliated company, Spectrum Metalcraft, operates a 125,000-square-foot fabrication facility in Salina, adding advanced metalworking capacity to the local economy through laser cutting, robotic welding, finishing and assembly work.
