I bet you’ve never seen a pool quite like Wentz Pool, which is perched on a hill overlooking Lake Ponca with some of the best views in the state. Built during the 1920s with hand-laid sandstone, this historic swimming hole feels more like a scenic castle retreat than your average municipal pool. It’s a massive space that’s been a favorite for generations of locals looking to beat the Oklahoma heat in style. Between the classic architecture and the diving boards, it has a nostalgic, "sandlot" summer vibe that you just can't find at modern water parks. It’s easily one of the most beautiful and unique spots to spend a July afternoon in Ponca City.
