The Town of Plainfield is excited to share the installation of a new artwork by Columbus, Ohio-based artist Andrea Myers inside the Plainfield Government Center Council Chambers. This piece was created through a community-centered process, incorporating fabrics and artworks contributed by residents during the Fourth of July Making Your Mark workshop at Hummel Park. It represents Plainfield’s commitment to celebrating our vibrant culture and shared identity through public art. This project is part of The Hues of Hendricks County Public Art Initiative, with support from the READI 180 in Color program, the Indy Arts Council, Hendricks County Arts Collective, GANGGANG, Main Street Plainfield Indiana, and Visit Hendricks County. 👉 A larger exterior installation by Myers is planned for the Downtown Plainfield Parking Structure, stay tuned! 📖 Read more about this project here: https://www.townofplainfield.com/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=135
