Jug Rock Nature Preserve

Hidden away in the woods near Shoals sits one of the strangest natural wonders in the Midwest. Jug Rock is a massive, 60-foot-tall free-standing sandstone pillar topped with a flat "stopper". As the largest table rock formation east of the Mississippi River, it offers residents and visitors an incredibly unique geological marvel right in their backyard.
