Illinois School for the Deaf

Established in 1839, the Illinois School for the Deaf is a sprawling 50-acre campus that provides fully accredited, specialized education for deaf and hard of hearing students. ISD makes Jacksonville a major hub for deaf culture and accessibility, drawing families and specialized educators from across the state to its highly supportive environment.
