We moved to the Indy area from Texas about six months ago.

We're really loving how family-friendly the area is. The parks, trails, libraries, and community events have made it easy to get out and explore with our toddler. We've been pleasantly surprised by what there is to do while still feeling less hectic than a larger city. We were looking for a place with great career opportunities, excellent schools, and a better quality of life for raising a family, and the Indy area has delivered on all of those.

For housing, my biggest recommendation is to spend time exploring different neighborhoods and suburbs before making a decision. We chose Carmel because we wanted walkable neighborhoods, great parks, and strong schools, but honestly it was hard to choose. There are many neighborhoods in and around Indianapolis that each has its own personality!
