Once upon a time I thought I would stay here a year....that’s turned into decades—for all kinds of reasons. A little city with a national reputation college—Wabash College— is the most amazing asset to a community where you don’t deal with traffic congestion nor long distances to any resource (medical, governmental, shopping, places of worship) this west-central Indiana “neighborhood” has. In addition, we have access to two world-beating state parks with all kinds of excellent trails and rare geological features less than an hour away. Our schools and teachers have won awards—including state and national ones— of all kinds. II’ll stop. Give Crawfordsville a look and you’ll be delightfully surprised. We have room for gardens and lots of encouragement to go green. We have four distinct seasons. Why not make Crawfordsville home?
