Columbus Named First-ever Freestyle Kayaking Center of Excellence

ICYMI: Columbus just made freestyle kayaking history 🌊

The International Canoe Federation (Planet Canoe) named our city the first-ever “Freestyle Kayaking Center of Excellence” — a global recognition for years of hard work transforming the Chattahoochee into one of the world’s top urban whitewater destinations!

And this is just the beginning: Columbus will host the ICF 2028 World Cup and 2029 World Championship Canoe Freestyle events, bringing global competition — and new energy — to our riverfront.
