Paddling the Black River

The town is named for the dark, tannin stained waters of the Black River that run directly through the city center. The waterway provides excellent conditions for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing for musky and walleye. Multiple accessible boat landings allow residents to easily drop in for a quick float after work.
