Held in late September, the DeKalb County Free Fall Fair is one of the largest street fairs in Indiana, drawing over 150,000 visitors to the heart of downtown Auburn. Often called "America’s Family Reunion," this massive community celebration effectively shuts down the city for nearly a week of festivities. The air is thick with the irresistible scent of Spencerville Eastern Star donuts—a legendary fair staple that locals wait in long lines for and often buy by the dozen to freeze for the winter. 

It is a true sensory experience, where the neon lights of the midway and the cheers of the 4-H livestock competitions blend seamlessly with the hum of massive local food tents and incredible entertainment!
