Richmond is a fantastic place!

Moving to Richmond was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The cost of living is low enough I can afford a homewith a fenced yard ($800 per month!) and have enough left over for groceries (and sales can be spectacular - see the photo). The city has a small town atmosphere, which is perfect for me, and it has a well kept, decent sized dog park with plenty of visitors that my dog adores. I even met my now-fiance at the dog park! The symphony tickets were a lovely bonus too.

I moved from Texas, and so far the milder summers have been amazing, and the fall foliage is absolutely gorgeous! The winter is of course colder than I am used to, but I'm adapting well.

I would encourage anyone interested in a low cost of living area, that has a lot of kind people (and dogs!) and an interest in the arts to check it out!
