Relocation With Huge Perks!

I recently relocated to Richmond, IN from South Central Pennsylvania. Summertime is hot in the East and Midwest, but it was the right time, for both work and personal reasons!

I scouted this area as viable option for a number of different reasons: it's very similar to where I grew up; culturally, demographically, and economically. It's also very conveniently located to many bigger cities: you're but an hour and change from Indianapolis and Cincinnati, and under an hour from Dayton. That makes access to bigger cultural attractions very easy to manage - as well as having the benefit of them not being right in your backyard.

That being said, Richmond has a wealth of cultural gems - it's a little city with its own Symphony and Art Museum, as well as a lot of shops and festivals to draw your attention. The architecture is also lovely - in almost every neighborhood, you can find lovely homes and fixer uppers waiting to be returned to their century home glory.

Finally, it's affordable. Coming from one of the hottest markets in Pennsylvania, I found my home costs (and utilities) to be quite reasonable. There's the room to put down roots and grow your future, without being trapped in a gentrified area with increasing costs and low opportunities.

The Make My Move process was easy and much quicker than I anticipated, and as a Remote worker, offered me a chance to gamble on an area, since they provide you with so many local options to choose from! If you have the capacity to do it - don't hesitate to apply! Barley and I sure enjoy it - the car rides might be her favorite part of our move!
