Community - Its what its all about!

I moved to Richmond in April 2023 from Davenport Florida (south of Orlando) and the past 2 years have been amazing. I have had the opportunity to volunteer with the Richmond Civic Theater. Participated in a couple of woodworking workshops with the Women Workshop Richmond who empowers women with power tools. Meeting a great group of friends at Journey Yoga Studio where I attend barre class. Yoga and art classes at the library, Trick or Treat on Main Street, fossil hunts at Earlham College and now I am one year away from graduating from Ivy Tech Community College. The entire community champions each other and is always willing to help.

For housing check out High Caliber Properties - Merck Properties LLC @ 765-584-0318 as they are based out of Winchester IN but manage some properties here in Richmond. I have had a great experience with them and the owners are a nice couple.

When you move here the best advice I can give is to get involved with the farmers market or any community event, get out and learn about the history. The best thing I did was speak to my neighbors and went to an art class at the library from there I have learned all the different places and things there are here. There are plenty of places and great food on Main Street and Depot district.
