Red River Gorge centers on Natural Bridge. The sandstone arch rises 65 feet and spans 78 feet. About 20 miles of mostly short trails weave to overlooks. The 0.75 mile Original Trail reaches the base, and the 7.5 mile Sand Gap Trail suits a longer wander. The sky lift carries riders to the top.

Families often gather on long weekends for mellow hikes, a lift ride, camping, or a lodge stay. Tent sites run $17 to $24, RVs $26 to $37, and the return lift is $15 adults, $12 children. Parking sits by the trail store and lodge.
