Hanson's Point is a cliffside overlook reached by forest trail in Red River Gorge, known for an expansive view at sunrise and a star-filled sky at night. The rock shelf sits high above ridgelines with a quiet that feels rare. It’s a place we’re grateful to call home.

Parking is usually at Pinch-Em-Tight Trailhead off Tunnel Ridge Road or Gray’s Arch. The hike lands in the moderate zone with a few turns to mind. Hikers, backpackers, and families make the out-and-back, and backpackers favor big established campsites along the approach.
