Located in north-central Kansas, the small town of Mankato is a more...remote choice...for remote workers. The tight-knit community is welcoming remote workers by offering a free lot to new home builders. Nine-hundred or so residents have access to all the banking, shopping and healthcare necessities in town. The active chamber of commerce proudly supports the public schools, mom and pop restaurants, vintage movie theater, golf course and other locally-owned businesses. Stanly County Schools (North Carolina) is offering a $5,000 signing bonus to new teachers who accept positions at Albemarle Middle School or Albemarle High School for the 2023-2024 school year. The payout will be prorated based on start date.

You will earn certification through a Masters of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program. You will apply for admission to an MAT program at the University of Louisville or Spalding University, or Asbury University, and apply for a teaching job in Jefferson County Public Schools.

If you are certified:
You will transfer your certification to Kentucky and plan to move to town by July 1, and apply for a teaching job in Jefferson County Public Schools.
